Eating on the go can be a challenge, but we want to help. From hand-breading the chicken for our classic sandwiches to sourcing fresh produce for our salads and fruit cups, quality food has always been a top priority. We believe in delivering great fast food every day (except Sundays).
Our founder, S. Truett Cathy, made the decision to close on Sundays in 1946. He knew what it was like to work seven days a week in restaurants, so he saw the importance of letting his employees set aside one day to rest and worship if they choose. That’s a practice we still uphold today.
One day when Truett was staying at a hotel, an employee responded to his thanks with a sincere “my pleasure.” The memory of that interaction, and the way it made Truett feel, stayed with him. Returning home, he encouraged his team to respond with “my pleasure” whenever a customer said thank you. It’s something we still do to this day.
