LUNCH & LEARN: Operation Save-A-Life by Talbot Goes Purple
Opioids, the Opioid Public Health Crisis, and How Narcan Can Help Reverse an Opioid Overdose.
Join us for this Lunch & Learn (lunch included) when we present Elizabeth Williams, Certified Narcan Trainer and Substance Misuse Prevention Consultant who comes to us on behalf of Talbot Goes Purple and Operation Save-A-Life to learn about opioids, the opioid public health crisis, and how Narcan reverses opioid overdoses. Certificates are available for those wanting educational credit.
Training provided by: MarylandROPTA (Reinforcing Overdose Prevention through Training and Advocacy), a project funded by the University of Maryland, Extension.

Join us in this innovative, life-saving campaign that installs overdose response kits at local businesses, ensuring critical opioid overdose medicine is available throughout Talbot County should emergency strike.
Offered by Talbot Goes Purple, these kits are available at NO COST to local businesses, non-profits, faith organizations, civic organizations and government offices. If you'd like to become a partner and Stand Up Against Substance Abuse, contact talbotgoespurple@gmail.com.
Participating businesses and organizations will receive a small, unlocked, clear unit that mounts onto a wall, making it clearly visible and easily accessible. In this box is a dose of Narcan, as medication that reverses the effects of an opioid overdose, and additional necessary items like gloves. To show the public that your location has this life-saving medication on hand, you will also receive a small window cling for you to display.
